• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Is there really a time that you don't really feel to evangelizing or disciple someone?

Sometimes I really feel this even if I do spend my time with the Lord an hour daily... like spending quality time, not just spending.

Is this normal? Still preaching even you don't feel to do it?

There are two parts to this:

a) Jesus Himself did not commit his effort to all people.

Joh 2:24-25 But Jesus did not commit himself unto them, because he knew all men, And needed not that any should testify of man: for he knew what was in man.

Some people no matter how much "gospel" we give, are ready to be witnessed to. I believe, at times the Holy Spirit may warn us of this, and tell us "not to preach to them". But this person may become ready at some point and God change the direction we take with them.

b) Some times the pressure to not preach can overcome us. I know personally I wish to preach often, but the spiritual pressure to not do so can get the better of me. I would like to say I push through this pressure, but often I don't I just crack, and walk back into the comfort zone. Successful evangelists know how to push through this fear barrier.

Thank you for this enlightenment. You're correct, I should step out of comfort zone.
