In OT times, could anyone be saved who wasn't a Jew?

The answer is in Isiah 56
2 Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.
3 ¶ Neither let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to the LORD, speak, saying, The LORD hath utterly separated me from his people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree.
4 For thus saith the LORD unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant;
5 Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.
6 Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;
7 Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.
8 The Lord GOD which gathereth the outcasts of Israel saith, Yet will I gather others to him, beside those that are gathered unto him.

Clearly God allowed Gentiles to join in His covenant to the jews. Esther is an old testament example of a old testament gentile who converted to judaism and recieved the salvation of God.

Noah wasn't a Jew when he was saved. Neither was Abraham.

And there are examples of people coming from other peoples and being saved. Rahab the harlot is one such.

But note that they did become part of God's people when they were saved. So for much of the Old Testament that meant that they proselytized to become a Jew.

Luther also threw out James. I'm not a big Luther fan. He wasn't perfect. He did do some great things and should always be remembered for them. But he wasn't apostle. He got a few things wrong.
Luther did not throw out the book of James.

My one request that everyone cite scripture to back up their responses to my question. Before Jesus died on the cross, could anyone who wasn't a member of the Assembly of God (i.e., a Jew) be saved from damnation?

Salvation has always been...
and always will be....

Strange, who then included James in every issue of the "Luther" Bible?

Gen 4:4 And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering:

Dear corgi. God`s chosen people are Jews, therefore all Jews believe in One God. All other nations, who did not believe in Jehovah only, were Non-Jews. Jews were awaiting their Messiah, and quite a number of Orthodox Jews, are still waiting. Jesus was the long-awaited Messiah, and many Jews have accepted that, and they call themselves, "Messianic Jews." To be a Jew in the o.T., meant they believed in Jehovah, and only those who believed in Jehovah, and trusted the Messiah, could be saved. I say this humbly and with love, corgi, and send greetings. Emmy, sister in Christ.
