Hi my name is Shelia, and I am in need of your prayers. My husband and I have been having alot of problems and off and on for about 5 years. We both have been married once before, unfortuanially we neither were christians. I am now a christian and am struggling trying to keep my marriage together. As of right now, I am the one thats holding it together, through Jesus Christ. My husband is verbal, mental, and sometimes physically abusive. Sometimes I feel its hopeless, but I know that God is with me and I know he can change the sitution! I need your prayers please.....I know that it's better to pray as a group, than by my self! I know that Satan, is within my home, and he's using my husband and my children to bring me down. I refuse to let him, so please help me pray, Thank you!!! And God Bless

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

My prayers go out to you both. Take action!...Pray,... ask God to protect you, and be an advocate for yourself and seek counsel from your local womens shelter or advocacy group. IMMEDIATELY. Statistically, these situations rarely turn out well, and as difficult as it may be to reach out, you are in danger. Please talk to someone. May God bless and protect you while you seek help.

SheilaJust seen your posting for prayer and had it on my heart to pray for you.
How are you doing my love? Not an easy situation to be in.
I know. I was in exactly the same situation myself but my abuse was from a Husband who lost his faith in Christ. So I fully understand the pain and anxiety that the enemy can churn up. But don't ever despair there is help and there is hope.
Jesus wants your whole Family to know His love and blessing. This circumstance the enemy is using to try to discourage you and tear things apart. Guess you know this. Anyway, we have a Mighty God where nothing is impossible.
Meanwhile you need to ensure you are safe.There are agencies you can turn to for help when things are too much. I'm not suggesting defeat here. Just practical things to support you whilst we pray and keep on praying for God to turn this situation around.
Lood for and get support for yourself from places that offer help/advice to women like yourself. You are not alone in this and it is nothing to feel ashamed of. I was afraid at first to admit I needed help. But in the end it was better I went.
I'll be praying for God's peace to be in your whole hosuehold, for rest and security and His protection for you all. That your Husband is quieted and calmed in his soul and senses the love of Jesus in your heart. That he turns to Christ and your whole family is healed and restored from the effects of this.
He is able to do more than we ask for think, and will give you a future and a hope.
Be encouraged and keep close to Jesus.I have you in my heart and prayers.

I pray that many people in this forum will pray to cast out these evils. I pray Lord, that you will give Angelface the strength, love, patience and faith needed to keep her family together. I pray Lord, that you will lead Angelface, and to have her do your will. I pray that you will come into the hearts of her children and her husband and let them know that you are God. I pray Lord that you soften their hearts, and have them love one another. That they will love eachother, their family. I pray Lord, that through you angelface, will be a good mother onto them, and a good wife. That she will show them the love of a believer in Christ, and that they will follow her example.
