So many people wanted to attend that they had to restrict it to RSVPs. It's like a ticketed event - but without tickets. They have to turn people away. As opposed to Trump who always seems to have a lot of empty seats.

Trump says a lot of things but I don't know about empty seats at his rallies, there are usually huge crowds of people who couldn't get in

He had a rally near us and it was nowhere even remotely near even half capacity and it was a 10k seat venue with outdoor space. Saw him talking about the “huge numbers” and “standing room only” at said rally when stumping in other venues.

Hey if word of mouth with no ID is good enough to vote it should be good enough to get into a Harris rally

You might remember someone being shot at recently when holding a rally. If you think that no precautions should be taken to ensure that only those invited attended then so be it.

Rhats fine, that's your culture. There are waiters here who make far more off tips than they would off a straight wage. But if you like it and your waiters like it, that's fine.

I still think it would take a big cultural shift in order to do that here.

On the basis that it wasn't the best drive I'm likely to have - I'll save that for some dude who gives me a cold beer on the way home (illegal, but hey...). The app then always asked 'What went wrong?' Well, nothing. So I had to change it to 5.

Then it asks if I want to leave a tip. Well...OK. Whatever I might give a taxi driver. But for some reason my card would accept the cost of the trip but not the tip. So when a couple of tips were outstanding I wasn't able to call an Uber. It would say that I'm in arrears.

So now they always get 5/5 but no tip as I rarely carry cash.

Second (and last) tip story: First time in NY. Cab from airport to hotel near Times Square. Fare came to $40 (quite a few years ago). I had nothing but fifties so I gave him one, said 'keep the change' and walked to the hotel entrance. He followed me, gave me the fifty back and said he didn't take less than a $20 tip. Stunned silence. Luckily US money is paper so it scrunches up quite nicely. I left him looking for the bill on the street with a suggestion that he go enjoy himself.

And you guys don't treat your people like servants. Lol.

We just had one in Montana and the venue was filled and there was a huge flat-screen for all those gathered outside. Trump is gathering crowds like nobody's business.
