In honor of all who have carried the message of God's grace in integrity and truth against a world sworn to resist to the last breath, instead, welcomes all to embrace the 'great light' lie. The scenarios there are infinite. Amen!

''So be on your guard! Remember that for three years I never stopped warning each of you night and day with tears.'' (Acts 20:31)

The OP is not to be confused with the Christian's call to rejoice always and in everything.

''St. Paul's one subject of earthly glory, his "hope, and joy, and crown of rejoicing," was the conversion of Churches (Romans 15:16, 17). In Christ Jesus our Lord. His boasting was not a worldly boasting, but was sanctified by its reference to the work of Christ. I die daily. St. Paul "died daily" a double death - the ever deepening death unto sin and unto the world; and the daily death of sufferings borne for Christ's sake (see 2 Corinthians 4:10, 11). It is the latter to which he here alludes. "For thy sake are we killed all the day long" (Romans 8:36).'' - Exell, Spence-Jones

To whom then does the message and tears of concern flow? Not to the above, who resist that message and themselves erect a bastion of false-legalism to refuse the Spirit’s guidance for the sake of false-liberty lest they repent, ,

instead, welcomes all to embrace the 'great light' lie.
So let us lay aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. (Romans 13:12)
Therefore, brethren, stand fast and hold the traditions which you were taught, whether by word or our epistle. (2 Thessalonians 2:15)
Beloved, , I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints. (Jude 1:3)
Now I commend you for remembering me in everything and for maintaining the traditions, just as I passed them on to you. (1 Corinthians 11:2)
Hold on to the pattern of sound teaching you have heard from me (2 Timothy 1:13)
Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me, put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you. (Philippians 4:9)
We must pay closer attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away. (Hebrews 2:1)
Don't hold this info too close to my one example of, the 'great light' lie. The refusal of honor and following the Apostle's examples and traditions are what 99% of our problems come from and hold many forms to which most oft seen in the amount of distance they wish to concern themselves over. Corrupt, foolishness or just plain bypass the Apostle's traditions/teachings and worship a Jesus of permissive exclusion from them. And you know what ''another Jesus'' apart from the Apostles gets someone - ''a curse'' (2 Corinthians 11:4).

A different Jesus OR, a different Gospel, WITH ''warning'' of also a ''curse''? Uh, think I'm going to pay particular note here of the possibility of no thread could rise to exceed the importance of this one, glory to God!! And that, with being time-honored ''3 years''.

Two weeks since posting this and none of the hundreds willing to stay and watch the uncovering of the power behind the tears. They came and caved from their guilt. BREAK FREE from your fear, in Jesus name! The call stands. How long, oh Lord?

Lord Jesus, forgive me for the tears I have not shed in THIS light, but, thank you for our recognizing your work through our brother and fellow laborer, Paul for the direction You committed to his trust.

I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping,
that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ, , ,
Their mind is set on earthly things.” (Philippians 3:18,19)

“But the doctrine of the Cross has two parts, distinct, yet inseparable. There is the cross which He alone bore for us, of which it is our comfort to know that we need only believe in it, and cannot share it. There is also the cross which we are “to take up and follow Him” (Matthew 10:38; Matthew 16:24), in the “fellowship of His sufferings and conformity to His death,” described above (Philippians 3:10-11).” - Ellicott

[The Apostle Paul] “did not attempt to cover up or excuse guilt because it was in the church, or to apologize for the defects and errors of those who professed to be Christians. The true way is, to admit that there are those in the church who do not honor their religion, and to warn others against following their example. But this fact does not make religion any the less true or valuable, anymore than the fact that there is counterfeit money makes all money bad, or makes genuine coin of no value, , ,The characteristic of those persons, , ,is, rather, that they were living in a manner which showed that they were strangers to his pure gospel. An immoral life is enmity to the cross of Christ; for he died to make us holy. A life where there is no evidence that the heart is renewed, is enmity to the cross; for he died that we might be renewed.” - Barnes

One of the fundamentally worst examples at the hand of the translator to lead the weak astray in the slight yet ever so glaring dip is found in 1 Corinthians 7:20 and 24. Arguably, the NIV heading up that group when compared to biblically confirmed renderings. Notice who is and who is not advised in ''putting off'' the old man with his deeds, ,

Each person should remain in the situation they were in when God called them. (NIV)
Each person is to remain in that state in which he was called. (NASB)
