Imprecatory Prayer

When should Christians pray imprecatory prayers? I believe we pray these prayers without knowing if we pray the Psalms on the regular but when else should we?

Me to. More and more as the days grow dark knowing, his "kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion endureth throughout all generations."

I pray God would break the teeth of his and therefore my enemies and let them melt away as waters which run continually and that they be like snails that dissolve into slime, like a stillborn child who will never see the sun. Amen
