Every ancestor of mine I can identify individually is human, just like for you. That's mostly because they all lived in the last 500 years or so. But, millions of years my ancestors were not human. (Also just like yours, as they were the exact same individuals.)

You aren't going to reinforce the difference, so when the time comes to change for the last time, you will pack up and run - fine if your children can cope without you, but hardly an enjoyable legacy.

Change what? my socks? the oil in my car? Yeah, the last one of those is probably coming sooner rather than later, because electric cars don't need crankcase oil.

There are words that endure and words that pass away. Jesus gives you that choice. What does Evolution say about that?
