Hi,

If humans one day discover treatments using science to stop the aging process which grants eternal youth, or some other forms of achieving IMMORTALITY ---> what would the theological/religious implications of this be ?

And by "immortality" I mean: VOLUNTARY immortality... that is, immortal/eternal YOUTH (can stay at any age you choose) and can voluntarily choose to die whenever you want

None. Humans will never figure out a way to live forever. We might prolong natural life, but we will not find a cure for instant death.

Just as I wouldn't have wanted to live in the society of the 1850s I am sure I would hate to live in the society of the 2150s. We are not only mortal we are timebound. As society changed those few that were able to afford to increase their life span to the point of interminability would become more and more alienated from the culture and dissatisfied with their existence.
