Implantation

Hi! I posted someting about this in the women's only thread.. but I thought it might get more response here. I hope it's the right place.

Did any of you experience the implantation bleeding? If so, did you have cramps like regular period cramps and other symptoms similar to period symptoms??

If you want to know the whole story.. you can view it under periods in the women's section.. but I've had really bad cramps all day yesterday like my period was going to start.. and then all I had was a tiny bit of blood and then no more the rest of the time.. I'm still having the cramps slightly. It's all normal to my period. I just wasn't sure if that was normal with that or not. I have had light periods like this before. But they usually were light for 3 days like that off and on. I thought I was in the clear when I saw the blood... (I want to go on my vacation in 3 weeks without worrying about being pregnant) But, we would actually be more thrilled if I were pregnant.. we've been trying a long time. Guess I'll wait and see.

Okay this is what I understand about implantation. First, its not at the same time as period cramps.... most of the time its earlier. Second, implantation bleeding will have an "old blood" look to it. Eventually it just falls out but not necessarily at the same time as implantation itself. Red blood isn't implantation bleeding.

I did. It wasn't much but I felt like I do before I start my period and I thought that's what it was...but then days went by with no more bleeding so I took a test and it was positive!

ok ty, that's exactly what I was asking for. I know it's not at the same time. I had a miscarriage.. I've been pregnant before. But I didn't have the cramps with it. It looks different for some.. some it's a very faint pink color and some it's dried like.. but it's ok.. I started my period in full force today! I'm kinda happy because I want to enjoy my vacation ride roller coasters and stuff.. lol But as soon as we get back.. back to baby making!!

I have had miscarriages before and also implantation bleeding. I think it happens differently for everybody. This is what happens to me: It can be spotty pink or heavy red flow red or brownish. I can happen for a day, less than a day, or for 2 weeks solid. Implantation bleeding can be as much as 3 pads a day. It doesn't mean that you have lost the baby or is even an impending miscarriage- it simply means that while the baby is implanting in the uterus, it has hit a vein. When it has happened to me, my tummy feels tired as if I've done too many situps. I just take it easy and relax. It can be on the same time as your period or after or during the pregnancy.

When I got pregnant with my son, I had implantation bleeding which I really thought was a period. It was the same length and flow as a period was. I thought "Oh. Too bad I'm not pregnant". I was about 10 weeks pregnant by the time I did the test and it showed up positive.

Doctors have also told me that their wives were experiencing a lot of implantation bleeding- several pads a day. Red heavy bleeding like mine. There is not textbook answer for this one. This is my story though- others may be different. I have experience this type of bleeding in all my pregnancies and all stages of pregnancy. Some have more bleeding, others less.

Well, I'm 100% positive this is my period. Being that I was pregnant before, and I miscarried.. I do know the difference for me. Although you are right, it is different for every woman.

After having heavy bleeding implantation, I always wondered if I was pregnant or if it was just a period. When I thought like that, it drove my husband nuts.

yeah i understand. I've taken tests though to confirm it. But, I understand why you would have that question. I'm just use to very irregular periods.. i've had them as long as i've had my period. So, I'm on the opposite end of the spectrum.. thinking.. oh I'm probably not.

I have been bleeding for a week now & have been to the doc 4 times. He said it is probably implantation bleeding because my bloodwork has came back that the preg. hormone is doubling like it should. I know though it is a roller coaster when you are trying to figure out if it is implantation bleeding or not. Or eptopic preg. which I will know next week.

And my advice for anyone now that I have gone through this, is just like it has been mentioned EVERYONE is different.
