How exactly do Latin and Greek Catholics deify Mary? What we understand is that God has done great things for her (Luke 1:48-49).

Easrtern Orthodox Christians understand Mary by half-measure, which the Eastern Fathers of the first millennium certainly didn't. You believe in the Assumption of Mary, but you fail to see all the deciding factors which point to it. Thus some of you believe, according to a dubious oral tradition, that even John the Evangelist was assumed body and soul into Heaven. By the way, aren't you being too carnal by focussing too much on Mary's death rather than her glorification in Heaven?

I believe in the Immaculate Conception of Our Lady. She is the New Eve, as St. Irenaeus and St. Justin tell us explicitly in the 100s. And already this is implicit in Revelation 12, where Mary is referred to as the mother of those who love Christ and keep the commandments.
