I used to buy into all your claims.

I'm not sure if you noticed, but it wasn't my claims, I was quoting scripture.

I was Protestant at one time. It did me no good, as I was constantly overcome by sin. People would tell me don’t worry, Jesus loves you and you can’t lose your salvation, yet I read in scripture that the soul that is in Christ ceases to sin. Then why am I overcome?
It was not until I realized that what I was being told was not true.

I agree with you there, scripture tells us plainly we can lose our salvation and if we allow the Spirit to guide us He will guide us in all Truth. The Spirit will never lead us away from the written Word of God, that is not the spirit of God, but the one we are warned about. Isaiah 8:20

I disagree. The RCC openly admit they changed one of the commandments of God written by the finger of God and we are told plainly no adding or subtracting to God's Word and commandments Deut 4:2 Prov 30:5-6 exactly what was predicted in scripture Dan 7:25 and they openly admit they are above God's Word, which essentially means they are saying they are above God.

Yet I was still not done. I thought that I knew more than the Church and had a doubtful conscience regarding her teachings, and my sin remained. It was in prayer when God showed me my error, as I was reading John of the Cross and the ascent of Mt Carmel.
I gladly submitted to the full authority of the Catholic Church and confessed all her teachings as true.

I hope it works out well for you, I believe your church has it wrong, we really are supposed to keep the commandments of God just the way God wrote and spoke and no man is above God.

Those with real faith will testify by their actions all that God has asked of us and what He repeatedly asks for is obedience to Him through love to Him and faith 1 John 5:3 Romans 3:31, instead of following man and Jesus makes this clear Matthew 15:3-9

I am in orthodoxy, I will not go into schism. Christ showed us the way to accept unjust punishment willingly and to preserve the unity of the faith
I have heard the Orthodox arguments, “first among equals”, “conclave of bishops is supreme authority” The argument seems compelling, but I do not see the humility in it.
Novel doctrines? Original sin is in the Bible. In one man, Adam, all died…. That is original sin.
It is only washed away by the waters of baptism.
Immaculate conception? When you understand who Mary is. She is the reflection of God. “My soul magnifies the Lord” in God there is no sin, so His reflection will not have it either. Mary and her Son are separate from Satan, not part of his kingdom of sin. Souls are redeemed from sin, sin does not beget redemption.
How does the Filioque contradict the faith? Are not the three Persons of the Godhead coequal and coeternal?
Why are the Eastern Orthodox appear to be equivocal on contraception? I see some say it is wrong, and others allow it in the faithful. Why not state that it is the intrinsic evil that it is? Do you not see the fruits of wonton lust, adultery, divorce, abortion, blasphemy and hatred of God?
I admit that I have study the cause of the great schism more and I will, but at this time I am going on the word of other Orthodox as to the reason

It's ironic that Roman Catholics claim we lack humility because we don't want a Supreme King Bishop who is even above Ecumenical Councils. Also we argue from History that was not Rome's position.

With that logic, then the Holy Spirit would proceed from Himself.
