Imitate God

We as children of God should imitate our Father in heaven. I'm sure everyone has slipped in this. I know i did. Big time!

Anyway, how have you started to imitate God's way?

When someone starts to argue with you, do you humbly keep quiet even though you know you're right?

Think you can do it? Yeah... sure....

It's harder than it sounds believe me i learnt that alot tonight. I didn't think self control was difficult at all only to find out that it's more of a struggle than i thought.

I totally agree with you. It's extremely difficult to hold your tongue in an argument even when you have all of the facts straight (know your right) I also struggle with remaining humble, some people I meet I place them on a scale of how better or how lower they are than me. Your post struck a nerve and I am really going to pray and ask the Father to help me in these area's. God bless you for this thread.

Both of you are so right. This is the way of the cross. I TRY and ask myself before I do anything, " why am I doing what I am doing, is it me or the Lord?"

I think that this is what it means to pick up the cross daily.

I think the Lord lived this kind of life as a man. He did everything by and with the Father, not of Himself. Does that make sense to you?

uh, imitate God. That's a big, life long thing.. but not so long that we all keep forgetting about it every second of the day.
