I count things. I'm not embarrassed, ashamed or anything - it's how I am.
But, I'm tired of it.
I'm horrible at math. Horrible. Was a terrible student, have no head for numbers in general, but "my numbers".
I know how many steps are from here to there (wherever). I know if I'm on the Xth step in a room, how many more steps it would take to get to the Xth step in another room.
These smilies here, as an example. See the little blue one in the 5th line next to the hug circle? I know how many times he goes face down as I type a line as I post in coordination with how many spaces and letters I type.
I can't begin to give you examples, but numbers it is.
My smoke alarm lost battery power a while back. I didnt change to the next battery for almost a week because I dodn't have a ladder. Before I knew it I had *it* down - how many beeps it would emmit in a certian ammount of time, and how the beeps became incorportaed into the counting itself.
I would like to think I'm otherwise, somewhat normal - but I just dont know.
I changed the battery, BTW - and now without the beeps my counting rythm is disrupted here at the house and it really distracts me. I know I'll get back to "normal" before long but I just feel off balance right now, I guess.
