All of CF is smaller now, as even the Advisors acknowledge in their recent announcement about coming changes. As to exactly why, people have different theories, which we probably still can't talk about in the open.

Yes, Dr. Steve has been seen recently. I believe he's currently on Staff as a Chaplain.

I am sure that part of what has happened was the recent site update. I myself was locked out for two months because of a glitch in the update. I have no doubt that many others experienced the same thing and may have given up after that. It was a real pain and very strange too. Once I got back in I set my password to what it was to start with and things have been fine since.

it's summertime for most of the people who participate on this board, and I always notice a decrease in post numbers during July and August. My own participation tends to slack a bit as I'm very busy with VBS, summer camps and the like.

Yep, Steve's around. You can always track him down in the blessings/reps forums. He pops in here and the Semper forum from time to time too.

As for the participation on CF, I can imagine it must seem quite different from when you were last active here. I'm just used to it now.
My POV is that periodic changes have happened over time, really since maybe a few months before 7/7/7. Each change seemed to upset one group or another, and a lot of people have left. New members have joined, and continue to. But there were a lot who have left and most have not come back. Some have been banned, too. I think (and hope) that CF is going through a kind of rebuilding process now. It might take some time, but I'm optimistic that it will again be what it was a few years ago.

I'm a long time Ford guy.

Ford never took any government money. However Chevy is in trouble...you could get a good deal. There's a 10-15k difference on a new 3/4 ton 4x4 crewcab between ford and chevy.

What do you want/need:
1/2 ton or 3/4?
gas or diesel?



I want a 1999 or so F 250 crew cab 4x4 with the 7.3 turbo diesel.....hard to find though in good shape. I have been quite pleased with my 2003 F250 crewcab 4x4 with the V-10. Mileage is rough depending on what I am doing, but it has 100,000 miles with no major problems and I use it as a truck.
