I'm sick of Halo!!!!

I have heard many people I know say that they have gotten sick of Halo. However for every person I've heard say that I've had another 10 ask me if I wanted to play lol. For good or bad it has become a social cornerstone for gamers. I for one would have like to have seen a Halo 1.5 which would have consisted of a few new maps, xbox live capabilities, a few glitch fixes, and a graphic overhaul. As for as the start of this thread... well its like a song they play too much on the radio... don't listen to it. And of course make threads about topics you would like to talk about... chances are someone will be there to reply.

See, the fun thing about Halo and Halo 2 is simply it's multiplayer. Plus Master Chief is really cool. So what if he's "just another superhero packaged in a new way". He's got a pretty sweet backstory (check out the books from your library, at least the first one to read about the lead-up to the the first game and his training) and honestly, what a cool name. Sends shivers up my spine to hear the marines' awed "Look! It's the Chief!" etc...

To have a ton of fun at university with it, you need to get a big screen (in my res we have one permanently placed in a lounge and another you can sign out and wheel up to your floor), a bunch of buddies, and loud music. Half the guys will need to be hilarious when playing. Get a great group of guys together and it'll be some of the most fun you'll have. My wing also tends to play a lot of CS:S, Battlefront, Rainbow 6: 3, etc... Halo is by far our favorite (also because they have an excuse to drink and scream a lot).

For me it was a great way to make a friend or two. I'm in a dorm as well and our little corner of the floor plays it with my router all the live long day lol. And it isn't like its the ONLY game played.

If you ever play over a network, like at a college, where 50 people you all know play it is a lot more fun. Then you have people constantly in competion. It is a blast, but there is a lot of talk about it.

halo is a great social video game i think but as far as playing by myself i am getting a little worn out with it. i like the first one better than the second one.

however, i find the multiplayer maps more interesting in Halo 2.

i dont like first person shooters, i like the games with freedom, and the most freedom dealing game is spiderman 2
