Hi everyone, I'm 17 and I'm new here. The reason I decided on making this thread is because I don't want to talk about this situation I'm in with anyone else right now.

About 2 months ago during the summer, I went on a trip to Thailand with my parents. We often got these massages for really cheap, and the masseuses are known for being prostitutes on the side. So I was getting a massage, and she asks if I wanted to have sex, and I agreed.

2 weeks later, back at home, I started getting a lot of symptoms of HIV (rashes, night sweats), but the rashes only lasted a day and the night sweats about a week.

I haven't gotten an HIV test yet, because I've been to scared to know the truth.. I've prayed to God every single day about this, to hope that I don't have HIV. Life is really depressing right now, since that's about the only thing clouding my thoughts, but I'm too scared to know the truth. I feel as though if I come out negative for HIV I'll do things a LOT differently. This experience is giving me a whole new outlook on life.. and how valuable it truly is.

Sorry for the long read, but I had to get this out. So please, if you read this, I'd be really happy if you gave me a little prayer to get out of this all okay. I know everybody has struggles in life, even me, but I don't think I could take having HIV..especially having to see the pain of the ones I love because of something stupid I did. Although I believe God doesn't burden us with more than we can carry, I still hope to avoid this problem.

I know a lot of lives have been ruined because of 1 stupid little mistake, and many others have been in this exact situation I'm in, praying to God and asking for help. I don't know if all of them came out all right, but I'm praying here now that God watches over me and does help me come out of this okay.

Thank you everyone for taking the time to read this!

hey
i think its great you feel able to post on here about your worries lovey. everyone makes mistakes in life, so dont beat yourself up about it. i had a friend in a similar situation and he got tested and was negative, but even just going to get tested put his mind at rest. if you dont go you'll just sit there worrying about it and its not going to go away. i work in the health sector so if you want to send me a private message and ask anything feel free. my advice is go to a sexual health unit and get tested for everything. there are a lot of other much less harmful infections that could give you those symptoms which are completely curable. please dont suffer in silence anymore, go get tested. i know its hard, but its really worth doing.
praying for you xxx

I have prayed the Lord will lift this burden from you and give you his blessed peace which passeth all understanding. We all make mistakes, and have been in similar situations, this curse of the flesh. Though this is tough on you right now, thank the Lord for Salvation, that no affliction of the flesh can infect or take away the gift of eternal life, so freely given to us by our wonderful Lord Jesus. As faith increases, worry decreases. You can't have faith and worry, and you can't worry and have faith, they cancel each other out. You can be strong through this, with the Lord at your side.:prayer:

Hello young brother. I am glad that God led you here in prayer. Please know that we all make mistakes. Ask for forgiveness, forgive yourself and then get checked for all STD's at a local health clinic or with your doctor. Prayer is the best thing you can do, but you must pray with faith, not worry because they can cancel each other out. True faith doesn't allow worry for if you trust that God's plan is best there is nothing to worry about. I know it is easier said than done and I will pray for you. Keep us posted and don't be so hard on yourself afterall, your mistake is already changing your view of life and your future.

Heavenly Father, thank you for joining us in prayer and for all of your blessings. Give our young brother the wisdom to forgive himself for his mistake and bless him with peace that passess understanding during his wait for THY will. Use even this for your good and draw him closer to you. All glory and honor are yours, Amen
