  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I'm ready!!!

I am thrilled to anounce that Heaven has gifted me with an amount of courage larger than the sea. I feel so "on fire" for the faith. It thrills me to see my prayers being answered. I encourage everyone here to pursue God. He has so much waiting for you, lay down your flesh and follow him.
I can't wait to tell my parents of my faith, I only pray that the seed fall on good ground. I can't wait to be able to go to Mass, and I so often find myself imagining myself setting in the most beautiful Cathedral for Adoration. I can't wait.
All I can say is,
Hail holy queen, mother of mercy, our life, our sweetness, and our hope. To thee we cry, poor banished chilren of Eve. To thee we send up our sighs, morning and weeping in this vail of tears. Turn then to us most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us, that after this our exile you may show unto us the most blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O Clement, O Loving, O Sweet Virgin Mary, Pray for us that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

I would like to thank everyone here for being such awesome Christians, you guys are great. An inspiration to me. One day I hope to even be as devout as you.

~Pax :crossrc:

You can go to Mass now if you want to and are able to. Everyone is welcome to Mass. The only thing is that you have to wait until you are received into the Church to partake in Holy Communion (as you already know).

You have a wonderful journey ahead of you.

I have to tell my parents first, which I am going to try to do within 48 hours.

After reading my above post it sounded a little bit prideful and arrogant, it's not suppose to, I was just excited. Sorry if it sounded that way.
No . . it did not. :)

It sounded joyful! :)

It is wonderful to experience this, and it is blessing from God. May this strengthen you in your spirit and prepare you for what lies ahead- for nothing is permitted which God has not allowed for our greater good. :)

Looking towards the future a little now, as was already alluded to above, just be prepared however for the time when it seems this experience is but a memory . . when the consulation given you here is withdrawn . . . when this happens, and it feels as though you are bereft of joy and surrounded by doubt and/or uncertainty, understand that this is also a blessing from God to allow you to move closer to Him and to transcend the emotional elements of our experience with and of God. :)

May God open your parents' hearts and minds to what you have to share with them. :)

Peace in Him!

You're on fire because the Holy Spirit is dwelling in you. It's not because you're prideful & arrogant. Keep us informed after your talk with your parents.
