This is a short poem, but whatever. I'm thinking about possibly making it into a song at some point, but for now it's a poem.
I'm Ready Now
Oh, God! I'm ready now.
These words no longer hollow sound.
I come to You earnestly;
I truly yearnest for thee.
Oh, God! I'm ready now.
Hit me with all You got
Before I have a second thought.
I know I'll fall hard on my face,
But You'll lift me up with your mighty grace.
Oh, God! I'm ready now.
It's been way far too long
Since I've sung to You a song
Without upon my voice a hint
Of hypocrisy's muffling tint.
Oh, God! I'm ready now.
I'm Ready Now
Oh, God! I'm ready now.
These words no longer hollow sound.
I come to You earnestly;
I truly yearnest for thee.
Oh, God! I'm ready now.
Hit me with all You got
Before I have a second thought.
I know I'll fall hard on my face,
But You'll lift me up with your mighty grace.
Oh, God! I'm ready now.
It's been way far too long
Since I've sung to You a song
Without upon my voice a hint
Of hypocrisy's muffling tint.
Oh, God! I'm ready now.
