i talked to my girlfriend's parents, and I have their blessing, so nervous though.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

our wedding date's tenatively june 5th. 2010. I wrote a song for her on my guitar, and then i got down on my knee, and she started crying. It was so great, her parents were in the other room, so we had our emotional get-together. and then we went to my place to see my family. 3 years of dating, through ups and downs, I know we can make it.
June 5th, 2010=our life together begins

I'm thinking of writing a song to sing on my wedding day, to surprise my future husband (we've also been dating for 3 years but are not formally engaged because of future grad school unknowns), and it would be cool to read a couple lines from a guys perspective
Please don't feel obliged to comply; I'm just curious and seeking inspiration, I guess.
