  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I just HAVE to let someone know - my husband and I found out yesterday that we're pregnant!!!!! I know most of you don't think this is anything miraculous, but..listen to our story.

My dad's sister went on the pill and couldn't have kids (she adopted). No-one else in my family has been on the pill. So when I went on the pill, everyone said I was crazy, but we didn't want to have kids right away. My mum's had a tumour in her womb and my sister has severe gynaecological problems.

Anyway, I went off the pill in Jan 2003 and we tried for a baby. No luck.To make matters worse, I have VERY irregular periods, so we can't time anything. We prayed and prayed........I felt like crying every time I got my period.

I always wanted to have my first kid before I turned 30 (which is this year), and time was running out fast. I got blood tests done etc and everything seemed normal. I tried to get my husband to get checked up (in Feb this year) but he refused. He said he just knew God would grant us this wish, and in time too. I waited patiently, feeling helpless.

And sure enough, God came through!!!! I'm due the week of my 30th birthday in December - I tell you, there is no way this could have been a coiincidence. God is surely faithful!!!!!!

Your faithfulness is like the mountains
And you Word never fails."

Be encouraged those of you who are waiting for Him to fulfil a promise. He never fails. Our only obstacle is our lack of faith:)

:amen: Praise Goddd, God is great, Florence I'm very happy for you:clap: , God is always on time. I know that by this your faith boost up. He's showing you that when you least expect him and when faith is almost gone that's when he appears, so that faith can shoot even higher than what it was.

I hope you have a safe and healthy pregnancy! I too have been trying and nothing yet. Everday I pray to God that it will happen, but I know that it will when He is ready for it to happen.
