Hello all... My name is David, and I am new to Christian Forums. At the time of posting this message I believe I had a total of four posts up. I am just curious about little particulars and hints people could give me concerning things such as blessings and ratings and so forth. What exactly is a blessing? And my rating means? I'd also like share a little about myself and what I believe and invite any and all who are interested or objected to any of my beliefs to discuss these beliefs with me. We can all learn something. I am currently a full time college student working part time. I grew up going to a nondenominational church and living in an extremely rough community. I have not only seen both sides of life; I've experienced both. I've made many mistakes and learned from them. After years of church after church and mentor after mentor, things finally began to start making sense. You might call me a Calvinist as far as theology is concerned, but I believe if you get to know me what you'll find is a brother in Christ, completely devoted to truth, and open to instruction. I seek truth always, and I have been purged through hardship to be humble enough to admit when I am wrong (quite often) and to accept greatfully any truth that is to be revealed to me. So, in conclusion I would like to say:
God Bless you all. Rejoice in all things. We do not know what lies before us; however we can rest assured that what lies behind us was meant to be. We are created as beings of contrast. We understand in contrasts, light and dark, heat and cold... darkness and cold do not exist in themselves, however they are essential to our understanding. We experience bad things because without that experience we can not comprehend the good things, and just how good they are. Again I say rejoice in all things, especially the bad; it is for the times of strife that we may understand greater good.

-Update- I just wanted to say that if there are any other newbies that would like to chat, please post... I check this thread whenever I get on, and I would love some fellowship with some fellow newbies, plus, the blessing fairy paid me a visit, and I don't even know what to do with these blessings, so if you're trying to get like 200 for a custom avatar or some amount around that let me know... they won't last forever but I'll give as long as I have!
