  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I am making a commitment today to quit dipping. I have been using snuff tobacco since November and I was enjoying it. After looking up some verses about it: "Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, For you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body." 1 Corinthians 19-20 now I know this verse was referring mainly to adultry but I believe it also pertains to my sin. I am currently 19 and I am a college student. There are so many temptations and stressful feelings that being a college student comes with and recently I have felt a call from the Lord to quit my nasty habit. I implore anyone reading this to aid me in prayer so I can finally quit and start letting the Lord shine through me.

Hi; good to see you; God bless His Word to you. What we need far more than negatively avoiding certain habits is to adopt good habits daily; reading the Bible daily in a prayerful way is a good and essential habit.

John 3.16 has a wonderful summary of the Gospel.
