• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

My mother passed away unexpectedly on 2/20/08.
She went into the hospital for foot sugery simple ones.
ended up with 3. The last one was too much for her and she was so weak that her heart stopped.
Her and i were together for 32 years.
Since 1999 I was taking care of her cause she was a diabetic on dialysis.
We were doing everything together- church, shopping, and travelling.
It is so hard to be in the same house without her.

so overwhelmed with all these emotions.

bless your heart. grieving brings alot of emotions. i think at first we fight it, because we fight pain; but eventually we cry it out. with our hearts, or eyes, it's quite a walk to mourne a parent. bless your heart. xo dee

Requiem Softly...

It's ok to take a rose from my bed;
The roses intended for me,
I shall never know.
I am only here in your heart..
Whispering gently.
Time will nurture your sadness,
Requiem softly to memorize,
Thoughtfully to comprehend,
And lovingly to embrace and mend...
It's ok to cry,
With your eyes or deep inside...
Then tenderly claim your memories,
Because my body commited to this earth,
Simply released my spirit to rebirth.

Well God gave me a lot of hidden secrets through this group and other websights.

I choose life and to move forward and not look back.
Mom is having a new life in heaven and i am having a new life on earth.
He has also blessed me with friends and family members
who are just surrounding with love and support.
I just want my appetite back just eating for my health
not for hunger.
Any body craving chocolate or carbs through this process. I had to take a walk with my ipod on and say JESUS I NEED YOU MORE THAN THOSE THINGS.
