I'm losing it fast today!

I just came from my bipolar group and I just can't stop thinking how much better my families lives would be without me. I've been here before and know that it's not true, but, I just can't help this feeling. So, I rushed here to maybe write about it and it will go away.
Oh, well, I will tell my husband but I don't think he will help me because he is in a mood and gets sick of my sickness. I'll try anyway,

You already know this, but if we asked your family, especially your grand daughters, if they would be better off without you they would say definitely no and be horrified at the proposition.

I hope and pray that your mood will turn soon and that you'll have the perseverence to get through this down cycle until then. I'm in a down cycle myself but a lot more anxious than depressed this time around.

Well, I was right, my husband won't talk to me. He see's me as a problem that comes out only when I feel like it. I just don't understand his way of thinking. He makes me want to leave this earth more just by acting like that. He thinks I'm just faking or something. I don't know.
In the meantime I went and got my older brother and he really helped me out a lot. He went home now and I'm feeling ok but, now I have to go home and see my husband. I really am afraid that he will right back in that mood that took so long to get out of.

My wife and I have been married for 33 years. She has been very supportive of my bipolar through the years. And everybody knows were tough to live with.

She has looked for support groups for the spouses and has been unable to find one. She needs more than folks telling her she just needs to bear her cross or talking about my disease. She needs folks that have to deal with us and how they cope.

Should you know of any please tell me about them.

He said some really mean things. He appologized later. But it still hurts. Especially when you are sick and you can't help being sick. You would think that the one person you could turn to would be your spouse. But no. It sucks. Luckily there are places like this that we can come to, and our Dr's and support groups. Even friends understand a lot better sometimes.

I totally agree with you, when my husband acts like a spolied brat, that makes me feel even worse. and I am so sick of hearing " I"M SORRY! " Yeah right, you wouldn't say that so much if you realy were.
Thank you so much for understanding me. He only helps when he thinks he will get credit for it. but, of course he doesn't see it that way. I could go on forever. This yr will be our 19th annivrsary. ( 21 yrs together )

I try everything ( meds ) to see what works. I don't just try it for a few months but I really give it at least 8 months to a year, So I don't know what to think anymore

YES! I have the same disorder and your moods can be triggered and you have to make sure your medications are properly adjusted. There are many facets to this disorder and you need to remember that this too will pass and please call your doctor if you feel down or up too long. I am asking this because I have been there myself sis....

Thanks for the love! I really needed to read that today. I feel horrible. My depression is bad to day which in turn, is making me physically sick. My whole body hurts.

Zita, still praying for U!!! I had a bad weekend-stomach flu led to missed doses, lead to up then down, led to depression city yesterday, but doign better today. I pray you will quickly feel better and call your doc if you need to!!!!

Glad to hear your doing better. I just can't seem to get there. When I do , It goes right down the hill with my husband. All I have to do is look at him and he just gives this hate look ( then yells how Christain he is just because he goes to church and I don't ) well, I am more Christain than he is and I don't go to church. I have my reasons. but, I'm at a lost here and don't know what to do or where to go. Thans

Dear Zita

You are waiting far to long to see if the meds are right. You are supposed to work up to the proper dosage for you within the prescribed limits and if in a couple of weeks you have not received relief , then it is time for the doctor to try something else.



At your rate it could take 5 years to find the right meds.



I've been there and done that. It's no fun but you are the one that has to stay on top of it.



Don't wait for the Doctor's scheduled next visit. Bug him if you have to. I did. Hes just a phone call away.



Remember it is you that is suffering.



This action may well make a difference in your marital relations.

Of course you are in my prayers alive again!! Always.
I have been on a new med, effexoe xr and it really feels alot different than the other ones. I hope and pray that this is the one!
As for you, I pray dear LORD, please let goldenviolet stop forgetting her meds, she need them along with your blessings right now, Thank you dear LORD Amen.

my purse i only carry one on sunday's. no wonder i couldn't find them. i actually forgot until i saw your post. thank you for blessing me. i fogot yesterday and today. i wouldn't have remembered. (put them away and missed them since sunday! that's why i keep my pills out.)

Goldenviolet and alive agian,
I know mthis is over a month old but, I haven't been to my computer since then, I have a problem, My p doc won't listen to me at all and just because she gets lied to by people this does not by any means mean that I will lie to her. She needs to talk to a friend p doc to get rid of that emotion she has because I AM in my manic state now and I am very angry!! I dislike lieing!! It's down ther with satan!!!!She accused me twice for lieing and then had to apologize to me because she was wrong. I showed her the prove!! Really silly stuff like, You did not have an appnt today, ok here is my card.. ( red faced ) I'm sorry she said, Now I feel bad ..
The problem is she won't listen to me when I tell her my meds are not working anf my therapist suggested trileptal ( ? ) didn't want to hear it!!
Enough about me..
I hope the both of you are doing fine..
