im looking for christian bands

yea i wanna listen to some christian music in my kind of style. i absolutlye love punk music! i wanna find some christian bands that play punk, or even punk ska(like the supertones ) ive listened to a lot of the misfits, but then after a while i realized there lyrcs are all like..."rip the veigns from human necks until their wet with life"

haha the misfits are awesome, but...the lyrics arent good .. also anyone know of any christian bands that have an AFI kind of style?

Christian punk that I like: Dogwood - some with pretty dirty vocals - RULEZZZ, Watashi Wa, Nobody Special, Underdog Conspiracy, Relient K, MxPx hm... Ska: Five Iron Frenzy.

I've heard of Five Iron Frenzy but could not find where i can get any of their cd's. Relient K I here is good but a lot of people seem to say there not so much punk, but havnt heard a single song from them yet so I'm not sure. Other than MxPx I havn't heard of any of those other bands. I'll be sure to look them up. Any other suggestions from anyone else?

And yea AFI is awesome, but if you havn't noticed their lyrics are about how they are against God. Most people don't notice that because their lyrics dont make sense with all the big words and visualism.

Five Iron Frenzy broke up about a year or so ago. You can check out their site for other information on where to get their stuff. Most Christian bookstores should carry their albums, the later ones anyway. Speaking of Five Iron... the lead singer (Reese Roper) started another band after FIF's breakup. You should check them out too, their first CD just hit stores this week. Here's a link to FIF's and Ropers site. There are more new bands with former FIF members listed at the bottom of Five Irons main web page.

You may also want to check out some other bands like: Dogwood, Thousand Foot Krutch, Relient K, MXPX, The W's, Ace Troubleshooter, Switchfoot.... There are so many. You could look through record label sites too... I hope they help.

I looked up all the bands I was recommended but not to many were very good. There were three that I liked, relient k i thought was pretty good, and i also like ace troubleshooter, and Squad Five-O were awesome.

what do you mean Dogwood has dirty vocals. They are by far the best punk band with the BEST Christian lyrics...



Anyways Squad Five-O's old stuff is awesome. I have all their cds, and the old punk ones are amazing. The misfits are pretty awesome, one band that reminded me on them was Outer Circle...they were on tooth and nail a while ago. One of their songs has teh same chord progression as Dig Up Her Bones by the misfits....maybe thats why i like them. Anyways some punk is the havoc, Officer Negative (old stuff) , the deal, hanover saints, and the blackjacks. Some pop-punk is mxpx, hawk nelson, slick shoes, relient k, and beaumont. hope that heps
