Hey Doc, if you're wondering why I'm up at 4 in the morning :) , I'm getting up early during the week to walk two miles on my treadmill before I have to shower and get ready for school.

I come home at lunch and walk two more miles.

I was starting to feel really sluggish and I wasn't able to memorize things like I used to, and even though I don't always like it, I do know that you have to exert energy in order to get more of it.....and it works every time.

Exercise is excellent for mental clarity as well.

Like I said though, I don't always like it. Right now every step seems like a struggle, but I can remember getting to a point where walking 4 miles at a time was NOTHING and I was in the best shape I've ever been in, so........

Love you brother Doc!

Hi Lainie,

Just wait until you have grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Then you will really find out how hard it is to stay "on topic."

As for your exceriseing by walking; The leges are the second most important blood pumping organs, next to the heart, in the body. Walking as little as just 30 minutes a day will improve blood flow throughout the entire body. A combination of improved blood flow, together with the higher resperation rate, pumps more oxygen laden red blood cells to the frontal lobes of the brain where we do our conscious thinking and use our conscius memory.

I know, I'm probably preaching to the chior. LOL

Dathen, I must tell you that I too had some teachers that I consdered "mortal enimies." However, as I've grown older, I realize that some of the teachers that I thought were the hardest were in fact the ones that I learned the most from. Be patient, you will be amaized at how smart your teachers will become as you grow older.

Love and blessings to all,
Doc

All of us have to climb fools hill. Some just stay on top a little longer than others.

Woob, I'll ready admit to being one of the world's worst spellers. However for the last few months I've been using a new computer that refuses to record the keystrokes correctly. In addition it has learned how to print charectors that no one has ever seen before. Also spellcheck may or may not function. HP has tried multipal times to find the problem without sucess as has the local supplier. Each time it has been worked on it has come back with additional problems that either I have fixed myself or learned how to work around. It is now scheduale to be returned to HP's head repair facility just as soon as we can harvest EVEYTHING from the hard drive (and it ain't a little one) complete with all programs. I'm quite certain that this computer is an athiest! Its for certain that it has never agreed with me on anything.

Doc

My mother told me their would be days like this, but she didn't tell me how many there would be. :sigh:

Wow! Sounds like you got a lemon!

If I were you I would demand to have that PC replaced, or my money refunded in full.

There are actions that you can take to get your money back in such cases.

Doc, this is a true story......

Some of the most intelligent people I know can't spell well at all.

Short but sweet story. :)

It's sad because it can be a sign of low intelligence (or just not paying attention in school), but it's really magnified on chat boards, etc.

I cringe when I see misspellings, but not because I don't think the person is intelligent...but because I know they weren't paying attention in spelling. HA!!

There's a big billboard near my house and in huge words they misuse the word "your". It says something like "If you like steak, your in for a treat!" (Of course it should be "you're").

The only thing worse than misspelling, is misspelling in all capital letters (especially on a billboard) or in Christmas lights. HAHA

The bad thing about words like "there" and "they're" or "your" and "you're" is that spell checker won't catch 'em!

What I said was a joke..... I already realise the importance of teachers. I like school, and teachers are just people doing there job and impacting and helping others. I do respect them.

What I said would probably apply to most 14 year olds. Though I'm more of a teachers pet, so yeah!!!!

Just clearing that up, back on topic now.
