If I was to destroy part of the Matrix in order to demonstrate my power, which part would I have to destroy? Why would that even be valid?

See, I dont remember that movie. From what I do remember it was something along the lines of everyone in a somewhat induced dream like state that was their reality but in truth they were sleeping in cocoons?
If that is how the movie was and you were trying to demonstrate your power to the ones asleep destroying something would help instill fear and as a result prove your power but why destroy anything? There are much better ways to show power. Miracles.
