  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I'm getting married today at noon!

This was a joke, i heard a balding man give to his son on his wedding day:

"Son, from one man to another, there are two words to a sucessful marriage: '..Yes, dear' ."

On the more serious side, i wish you many warm blessings, my Brother, Love her like Christ loved the church. :)

:prayer: Father God i thankyou for this wedding and i pray you give these two children a Godly marriage, one of powerful ministry and love for the lost, one of persevereance and trust in the storm, one on the foundation of Christ, one flesh under the Lord Jesus Christ's blessing! Jesus be in the midst of this ceremony, bring a day of great celebration and joy, festivities and love! Thankyou Lord for Your immense love for these two, i pray Your presence be with them, now and forevermore, even untill the end of the age, amen! :amen:

The best advice that I can give to a newly wed is to remember to love your spouse based on the agape love of God, and not based on the behavior of your spouse. I have found in my own marriage that there is a tendency to want to reward or punish each other based on whether we like how the other one is behaving. Then arguments and angry feelings escalate because we are both heaping fuel to the fire. If your wife is having a bad day or is behaving unreasonable, remember to love her and be patient. Show her through actions and reasoned words what kind of relationship you want to have and emulate the behavior of the household you wish to have.

I wish that my husband and I could be better at this ourselves. We are learning and being changed by God to conform to this more and more. I just try to remember that we are all sinners, and I am NEVER justified in maltreating my husband because of my own anger. Bad feelings will arise, but it's acting on anger that is sinful.

I also highly recommend that you and your wife work together to find a time and style for a daily devotional together. It's so important that you two pray together and read the bible together. God bless you and your wife.

A garden enclosed Is my sister, my spouse, A spring shut up, A fountain sealed... Song of Solomon 4:12

Know that your love relationship belongs to the two of you (and the Lord, of course). Keep walls around it and nuture it and don't let just anybody into the garden of your love relationship. It is precious!

God bless you both abundantly beyond what you could ever ask or think.

Please pray for my new wife and our marriage.

Any Godly advice from those who are married out there?

Just this piece of advice from someone who was divorced:

PROTECT YOUR MARRIAGE WITH EVERY FIBER OF YOUR BEING!

There will be many things that come along to interfere with your relationship with your wife, and the commitment you are making to her. Cast away all those things, no matter how good they look or how much happiness they promise you. The good looks and happiness are lies meant to trip you up and make you unhappy. Don't let your career, temptations, parents, neighbors, friends, potential lovers, money, possessions or the promise thereof get you to let your wife down or to break up your marriage. It is the most valuable thing you will ever own--your relationship with your wife!

God bless you and your family with every good blessing!

wonderful..marrige ordinaed by God..is a great gift..prayed for a long marrige (the one that only death can sepreate)..also about advice:
She is always right!
if you have tha mind set everything will be well! :)
Actually just pray together everyday..if she is honest to the Lord, problems will come out in her prayers and you can then pray the problems away, as well as work them out!
Also never think that you can read her mind or she can read yours.
And finally enjoy romance and love making..with passion for each other to please one another, not perform!
