Heh, I love emeralds too! I have one on my engagement ring.

Congratulations, this is absolutely beautiful. You put so much work into proposing - which probably meant more to her than the ring.

i still didn't work out if he gave Patty an emerald though (since she likes them so much) ? not that it's important of course!

Nope...gave her a diamond! Michael was a little late telling me! We'll have it sized as soon as I can get her to give it up long enough to have it done! Maybe I'll get her an emerald to take it's place while it's gone.....hmmmm.....

We're thinking of having the settings done with celtic knots on the bands. Not sure.

I should ask her how she feels about the diamond first! I think if it was me, i would want to keep what was already chosen for me....unless it fell out of a christmas cracker...anyway..the eternity ring you buy her in a few years can be crammed full with emeralds

The emerald would just be something for her to wear while they set the diamond in its permanent setting. She'd definitely switch back when the jeweler is finished!
