  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

..that this song is about Judas.

For some reason, I've always had compassion for Judas. Even though he betrayed Christ, he was simply doing as the Pharisees taught him to do. Historically, he is seen as being in the closest circle of Hell.
I disagree with that- there is an anomaly of morality here, as he was not apostate and was greatly troubled afterward.

Judas Jesus calls him a devil
Jesus says he lost none except Judas.
So if Judas was lost that means not saved.

Matthew 26:24
The Son of Man indeed goes just as it is written of Him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been good for that man if he had not been born.”

Does not look good for bad Judas here. Don't feel sorry for a devil who willfully betrayed Christ. Judas walked a similar path as those Pharisees who also wanted to kill Christ, so woe to him Christ says. Betrayed for some cash or what do you suppose? Why do you think Judas did this? Satan entered into Judas, but Judas was already a thief, so definitely the guy had serious issues believing and following what Christ taught.
