I'm Bored

Idle hands are the devil's workshop. That kind of boredom? I discovered two poisons of the soul, boredom and loneliness. It seems that all the sins I practiced were spawned in one or both of these stews. Boredom is the seeking outside of self for entertainment or help. I made much trouble for myself at one time or another by creating excitement and bestirring the natives to restlessness to relieve boredom. I discovered the reason I was bored was because I was boring. I developed hobbies and interests, the cure for idle hands, that did not require other people and shallow entertainments.
Loneliness is kin to boredom but cannot be cured in isolation. Loneliness can be cured by becoming a person worthy of being a friend, which means boring and boredom, with the attendant curses of lethargy and apathy, must be cured first.

I'm just messing with you, I don't literally think anime is heresy.

It's just funny to me to juxtapose ancient Christian terminology with anime.

He / she's just saying that if you are bored, that shows vanity because it means you can't be content with your existence and need material thrills. And that if you are lonely, you need to be more loving so people want to be around you.

But Jesus went to wedding parties, and people abandoned Jesus, and Jesus was lonely, so unless he / she thinks they are better than Jesus...

And not to mention the fact that last time I checked boredom was not a sin. I'm sure that even Jesus was bored once in awhile. I think we all are from time to time. It's just part of being human.

I asked what you meant by bored? And what relief do you expect? When I get bored, I stir up all kinds of interesting mischief amid sour amusements with shady characters. Cheap thrills with hell to pay in the end.
I used to feel "bored" coming on and it was a chill in the air, as who knew where that wind would blow and what port of call amid what pirates were in the offing, aye?
Perhaps your bored is not of the kin of my bored. I cured bored by finding better occupation for idle hands, alone, working at a hobby, arts and crafts or even a good book. Prayer and mindfulness of God leads to more interesting pursuits and captures the troubled mind.

Or there is nothing interesting or entertaining to do and no one to do it with. The hunt for the interesting and entertaining to do and someone to do it with is what I meant by mischief in the making, the dangers of boredom and loneliness.
