  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hi, I'm Jason, I just joined. After lurking here for some time I decided to join, I had been looking for a good Christian online community for some time. A little about myself, I live on the east coast, I enjoy computer design, and music, I would list my favorite music artists, but after the list exceeded 60 I just decided to quit trying to list them all. I am not a real fan of modern CCM and modern praise music. Considering I don't listen to mainstream music, no CCM artists really cater to my preferences. As far as praise music goes, I feel that as new songs are made they just paraphrase each other and sometimes take the same words and switch them around, but I am a fan of hymns. To me they seem the most inspired and original.

Pretty much my aim right now is to become a stronger Christian and overcome many common teen issues and the like. I plan on staying here and don't plan on leaving anytime soon.

Hey, thanks for the welcome, I don't have a denomination, unless my denomination would be called "non-denominational", but I'm not sure as to whether non-denominational is a technical denomination or not.
