I'm a weirdo...are you?

When I was a kid I used to like to get a sewing needle and put it under a thin layer of my skin on my finger. It didn't hurt at all since it didn't reach those delicate nerves.

I always thought that was strange so I didn't tell anyone I did it. I guess you could say that we are all weird because I believe everyone does something.:(

Oh, and when I was little, I used to dye ants different colors to see if their peers would recognize and accept them anyway. (They did. The other ants didn't seem to care at all what colors they were.)
 Now I've set ants of fire, but I've never heard of dying them!

*takes notes*

I have a weirdo habit. I like to put Elmer's glue on my hands, let it dry, then pick it off.
Anyone else do anything this weird???
Yep! I used to do it all the time in elementary school and jr high school because I got bored listening to the teachers. I would still do it, but I don't have any glue :p

When simmering wax in a simmerpot, I liked to dip my finger in it over and over until I had a thick coat of wax. It hurt, but it was still kind of fun.
I do this as well :D

And this :D

I also used to catch the flies in the house, freeze them, then put them infront of the wood stove to thaw them out. A few of them lived, then I forced them to stand on the woodstove until they died ;).

So, yup, you could say I'm a weirdo too :D

Ahh, I too used to sew my fingers together (using the non-innervated skin of course). Another weird thing I learned to do was say the alphabet backwards. What am I ever in a million years going to need to know that for???

You made me remember something, but at the time I think alot of people did it. The old commercial, I think McDonald's. I didn't look at your age so I don't know if you're old enough to remember. "Two all beef patties special sauce lettuce cheese pickle onions on a sesame seed bun."

Back in 1975, I was about 15 years old, I had one class I was so bored with that I actually learned how to say that thing from the commercial backwards like they tried on the ads. I actually could say it backwards as fast as I did forward. That's what I learned as a kid in school.
Sad, isn't it?

I did the glue thing too, lol. Looks like everyone has done that, just about. The weird thing I did when I was a kid was eat the ice that would form around the inside of the freezer. One day I stupidly used my tougne to do this and got stuck. I'll never forget that day!! ^_^

I used to do that in the grocery store whenever we walked by those big open freezers. I would run my hand across the "snowy stuff" and let it melt in my hand. One day my hand got stuck to the ice and we had to have an employee get a bucket of hot water to unstick my hand. You'd think it was embarassing, but I loved every minute of the attention ;)
