Im a music producer. Will I be able to continue to make music in heaven?

Im a music producer. God gave me this incredible passion and blessed me to be able to find it at a early age. It is what I was meant to do.

Will I be able to continue to do this in heaven and the new earth? It involves computers so those would have to be there too.

You will be able to make music like you never have before. If computers are not there, you will not miss them.

I hope there is some type of theremin, but I do not own one now.

You can make music anyplace anytime. You don't need computers in the afterlife.

How information is processed in the spirit is way beyond anything that can be done with a computer and is far more interactive and fun.

You may have experienced a glimpse of it in dreams, specifically "lucid dreams". You think of something and you're there. You're not just seeing things in a viewscreen but you are "physically" transported to the information or place itself.

And then there's music. You can do endless remixes, juggle lyrics in the subsconscious state or lucid dreaming. It all happens in real time with all types of musical instruments playing. No time to think because the spirit works a lot faster than the computer. The crazy part of it is you can't make mistakes so no re-runs and you can can already enjoy the new song while you make it!

This is something no one can answer. That being said does God start something that never grows? This is also one way to tell if something is of Him.. it always grows. One said and I agree with is.. so many know or wonder if they were called or like you and say never started it or finished in this life. What He promised to you you will still finish it here or there. Just be a tad greater I think. Music.. haha its one way a major way He always talks to me. Oh love music been singing since I can remember. When I was really young had a dream. In the dream I was looking at my self and I had a huge smile then hmm myself turned and looked up so I looked up. Oh it was a deep blue sky with tons of stars and then from right to left in kind of a arc these angels with wings were flying across the sky singing. At that time I didn't know they had wings or worshipping angels. The song.. ever hear people say they heard some music from heaven and it was as if no instruments yet there where? YEAH That was it! That was very strange. But the song.

Man I haha called this woman that had a bible study I went to .. asker her to pray because I SO wanted to hear that music again. NEVER in my life heard anything like that...ah but never heard it again. Anyway.. sorry just remember this again.

I've been wondering the same but I'm an author. I'm sure I won't be able to write most of my genres ever again e.g. crime, thrillers. I don't know what I could write that doesn't involve some kind of suffering. Even children's books involve them going through hard times e.g. getting lost on an adventure. I've accepted that my time as author ends on the old earth. In the new Heaven, new earth, I'll find other things to do. People have lots of jobs in one lifetime. I can find other things to do for an eternity. I'd love to write songs. Maybe we'll work together in the eternal life.

Some describe people engaged in working on crafts and hobbies just for the pleasure of it. Some describe life on earth as a black and white picture, where everything on earth is a bad attempt at creating what already exists in heaven. So in other words - REAL music is in heaven, what we hear on earth is just our inspired best shot.

I hope you're both right. It makes sense that we have the inferior version of everything. Satan is copying what God has done in Heaven, but Satan can't produce the real thing. It would also explain why we're never satisfied with things for long. We always want more. Subconsciously we might know that we don't have the real deal, just a bland imitation.

More likely, we will all be Mentats. Or, since God already knows all things, we'd only need instantaneous information download capability from His brain to answer any question. That seems to be what Jesus had during His time on earth.

What an interesting question!!! I'm kind of a music producer too, in that I recorded with musicians in the studio close to 100 Scripture Songs.

I'm not sure if you will play music in heaven... but think about this. You might not want to produce music in heaven. Of course I've never been to heaven yet. But remember as a child, you might have loved to play with certain toys. If you got the same toys right now, you might not pay much attention to them. Not because you can't, but your interests have changed. That might happen in heaven too. Either way, you won't be 'gravely' disappointed!!!

And every gift that God gave you on earth is for the building up of the church. So, a lot of these gifts won't be needed anymore....

What we know:
- We know God created you the way He created you for a reason, music passion and all.
- We know that the New Heavens and New Earth are a place of ultimate fulfillment (and this is our eternity. Heaven is a stop on the way). Who you are doesn't change in Heaven. God does not promise to take away our desires, needs and loves. He promises to renew everything and remove the curse of sin.

So, what we know is that you will be you, and you will feel ultimate fulfillment in eternity. We don't know what that looks like, and frankly I think it's far, far beyond our Earthly comprehension. But for every question like this, the answer is "that will be fulfilled" rather than "you won't care."
