I haven't bought a CD for at least 6 years now.

It's illegal by law, I don't have a bad conscience because of that. Not at all. I regard it actually as something that's ok, I mean I am doing nothing that's morally wrong.

I am not stealing a CD, I am just copying a computer code ( binary 1's and 0's ) from someone else's PC.

I download music from kazaa, but I don't trust downloading any kind of software (and films take too long). Like Setzie above, I don't really have a problem with it, although I do know it is illegal. Sometimes I'm not too keen on most of an artist's music, so instead of buying an album just for one or two songs that I would listen to, I would just download the track that I wanted to hear.

lol, Kazaa is worthless - if you have it, then you are like, 2 years behind the times on how to download stuff. A lot of fakes, it really isnt worth it. I can point you in the right direction, but that is not something i will tell particually publically.

I admit i do it, and no, do not feel bad. Sometimes yes, but i think a lot of the DVDs and stuff are not worth the money, and many i have downloaded, watched and though i wouldnt have bought it if i knew. If i really like one, then I will buy it.

its wrong and i know the Bible says to submit to authorities. but i don't feel i am convicted to stop. for one i am being ripped off by major corporations. my XP is pirated. so are most my applications and i the only cds i buy are trance cds which are all imports. use limewire and soul seeker to download entire albums.

I dont download songs as much anymore, and havent downloaded a program off a P2P program in years because of potential viruses. When I do download, its usually to see if I like the songs and if I do I'll usually end up buying the CD, unless theres only a couple songs I enjoy. I am not paying $12+ for a bad product.

Other times I might download b-sides, especially if I cant find the single in stores.

I download music I cant find in shops where I live, like christian music. I also make myself a compilation every now and then, but I never download a whole album or movie. To be honest I prefere buying an album or a dvd than downloading them. I guess I like to have the real thing.

God Bless.

that's because it's legal in canada.

oh right. also, i do download.
however, about 70 percent of the time, i have gone out to buy the cd afterwards. there are so many bands that i have bought their cd, gone to their shows, bought their merch, that i wouldn't have even HEARD of, had it not been for programs such as Kazaa and Limewire.

I used to download music and software myself regularly, but since have ceased to do so for reason of personal conviction. The Bible says to obey your authorities, and that's what it means. It also says not to steal. Illegal filesharing is theft. No argument. If you were a software or music company, and you wanted to sell your productions, but instead everyone just copied your work against your request and thumbed their nose in your face, would you appreciate it? Neither would God.

Maybe five years ago I used to use the original napster. But that was just for Dragon Ball Z songs that I couldn't get over here.

Then I switched to kazaa. then i switched to kazaa-lite (kazaa, but an independent spyware free version). . . Eventually, I gave up with Kazaa and started to use Soulseek. I can find almost anything I want on there (when it comes to foreign and hard to find music)

I don't have internet at my home anymore, so I don't really download stuff anymore.

Here at my dad's house, I just find songs off of websites. Lately, I've been using torrent programs to get albums, and such. My friend sent me a bunch of songs over e-mail attachments. Those were pretty cool. Now I'm using 80 megabytes of storage space just from her attachments.

wooh?
