The issue today is borders. We want our peace, we want our walls, we want our security. We were born to it, we deserve it. We are entitled it. This is the prevailing attitude contributing to a weakened compassionate reaction, and we are only getting stingier as the world gets worse.

To obtain asylum through the affirmative asylum process you must be physically present in the United States. You may apply for asylum regardless of how you arrived in the United States or your current immigration status.
