  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

good point.

and notice its usually uninformed and/or uneducated people that are against decriminalization or legelization of marijuana; yet, a large majority of americans are uninformed and/or uneducated, which is why so many policy-makers have been getting by on their no-tolerance attitudes the hard-right wing D.A.R.E. parents of the 90's spurned by the Reagan era (which was all just a response to all the 60's-70's drug use). those politicians just wanted the vote of a public thats seen so much drug use, it scared them into beLIEving the entire usa could become the san francisco haight ashbury district.

Nowadays, people know that anything in moderation won't kill you, and infact, might even be good for you.

Why is it so bad someone gets to smoke a cigarette now and again?

Is it so terrible one drinks a few glasses of wine before going to bed?

Why should someone who likes to smoke a joint while watching Survivor go to jail?

People have certain liberties, and that includes the right to do drugs. It is illegal that marijuana is illegal, in all honesty. Our constitution protects these kinds fo civil liberties in an abstract sense, and its against those liberties to have to pay a fine or go to jail if you're a little stoned.
