Having watched the video, (some didn't I suppose), the illegal alien in question proposes to help illegal aliens to remain here illegally while getting benefits from the government. She's dangerous and should be returned to Peru ASAP
What about them?Illegal aliens
If while helping people she was risking prosecution by the state that would make her an even better good Samaritan. Willing to put herself in harms way to help others who are poor and looking for a better life. Sounds like something Jesus would do.Which would make one an accessory to a crime by the way

Ok, I'll make sure not to support someone in their attempt to rob a bank. If a person is fleeing poverty and/or violence to provide for themselves and their family and their only "crime" is walking past a line on a map then I will help them. A slippery slope argument won't change my mind there.Be careful with that. A guy might rob a bank with the intent of donating that money to charity.

laws are nice. Necessary even. I respect actual people even more than I do laws though. Do you think if an undocumented migrant came to Jesus starving he would refuse to give the person food or go look through the law book to see if it's ok first ? How about his or her children? Would it be bad to help them too?Yeah, bugger those rules and laws! Who needs 'em anyway?

Romans 13- Obey the laws of the government.
And... ? Are you implying he wouldn't feed a starving child because Paul wrote that in Romans?Romans 13- Obey the laws of the government.
My reading of the parable about the Good Samaritan does not detect anywhere that the Good Samaritan broke the lawWhat about them?

Not sure what that has to do with anything. Unless maybe you are implying that he wouldn't have helped him if he had walked across the border without checking in with the Romans first ?My reading of the parable about the Good Samaritan does not detect anywhere that the Good Samaritan broke the law
The pont is that the situation with this illegal alien and the Good Samaritan are not comparable. The Good Samaritan came to the aid of a victim. This illegal alien wants to aid the perpsNot sure what that has to do with anything. In your opinion would Jesus refuse to help a person bleeding out on the side of the road simply because they didn't follow proper border crossing protocol at some point in the past? If a child was starving would Jesus demand that they go back to the border and check in with the Romans before he gave him some life saving food? The pont is that the situation with this illegal alien and the Good Samaritan are not comparable. That's dangerous. She's dangerous and belong in Peru
Her goal is to help people defeat the system while breaking the law. that makes her quite dangerous. Let her defeat the laws of Peru, in Peru.I think He would help them, and then help them become legal citizens. But he's certainly not going to help them continue to break the law.
Just stop it already. You take a good argument and poison it when you start talking like this.
While I believe taking advantage of what our great country offers without following the correct steps is illegal and criminal, it is not a dangerous crime, nor is it one that we can't assist with.
The law should be a curb, not a freaking brick wall.
