I'll be baptised

Hey,

I have good news I'll be baptised next week on the 26th.

What should I do this week for preparing?

I'm not really nervous yet, but I think I will next Sunday
Think I'll cry as well , but that's a good sign, not?

Matthew 3

11`I baptise you with water when you stop your wrong ways. But another person is coming after me. He is greater than I am. I am not good enough to take off his shoes. He will baptise you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.


12He has a cleaning fan in his hand and will fan his grain very clean. He will put the grain into his storehouse. But he will burn the chaff in the fire that never dies.'


13Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan River. He came to John to be baptised by him.


14John tried to stop him. He said, `I need to be baptised by you. Why do you come to me to be baptised?'


15But Jesus answered, `Please do it now. In this way we shall do all that is right.' Then John let him be baptised.


16After Jesus was baptised, he came up out of the water right away. The sky opened. He saw the Spirit of God coming down on him like a dove.


17A voice from the sky said, `This is my dear Son. I am very pleased with him.'

After you have been baptised with water, I will pray for you that you will receive the baptism of the holy spirit, and fire soon afterwards Much Love

Hi Raindrop It's good to hear you are being baptize and the first step in obedience to God.
You might want to talk with your pastor and let him explain just how the baptism service is done at your church.
My church has a class for ones who are baptize prior to the baptism service to explain exactly what will happen and how to be prepared.
It really nothing to be nervous about but excited about.

Congratulations. Baptism is a symbolic outshowing of what God has done in your life. He has forgiven you and cleanse you from your sins. You are now a new creature in Christ by accepting him and making him Lord of your life. May his spirit dwell in you forever.
