I'll Be Away for Awhile

Hello Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Just a quick note to let you know that I will be away for awhile.

My uncle has become full of cancer, he has it everywhere and is going quickly.

I went home this week, on Monday, and performed his wedding - in the hospital room. It was a sad ceremony.

I got a call at home this morning that he has slipped into a coma and so now the end is near. It seems I'll be conducting a funeral in the same week as the wedding, and for the same person.

Anyway I'll need to be going home to minister to the families and perform the funeral so I will be away for awhile. A week at the least I suppose.

So sorry to hear that. Cancer is a dreadful disease. It took my mother at age 47. I feel your pain and that of your family. If he goes, hopefully he is saved, he will be in paradise free of the diseases and illnesses of this world forever in the presence of our Lord. What a joy to look forward to for him, but at the same time a sadness to be leaving your earthly family behind.
