I don't think so as long as you're sensible about it and don't starve yourself but would you continue trying to lose weight throughout your pregnancy . .. that's not such a good thing to do as your body needs extra energy. It would probably be best to lose the weight first though before you start trying to concieve

Being overweight can severely limit your chances of conception. so if you feel that you are - then yes by all means lose weight. I have never heard/read anything from a doctor saying not to lose weight while TTC. Just do it the smart way.

From what I have heard, from doctors and my own mother - any extra weight you are carrying now will be a lot harder to lose once you have given birth.

I was told the weight watchers plan is great.

Plus once you are pregnant you will lose in teh first 12 weeks..;)

This is only true for some women - esp those who experience extreme morning sickness. Personally, I didn't have any morning sickness (I'm 17 weeks now) and gained about 6 pounds in the first trimester.

Yep this is true. I lost 10 pounds before right before I got pregnant and I have gained back about 5 so far and of course will only keep gaining through out the pregnancy.
