I know guys who seem shy and really aren't they just have "different" interests or sometimes I don't give them the time they need. I'm not talking hermits, here either. LOL. Mostly jokes, but sounds cool. I'll have to check your post.

His interests are definitely different! a little bit of electronic/car/motorcycle geek whose a bit rough around the edges....LOL

as for interest...a couple of people (including his dad's gf) have mentioned to me that "he's single and really nice" over the last couple of years but I've never given it much thought. I never figured we had anything in common. Oddly enough though, Friday night I realized we do have some things in common and it freaked me out a little. lol

I think that's partly why I've blown off 'suggestions' in the past....I don't want to be 'set up' and then it go bad and then having anyone feel bad. I love my church too much for that kind of drama. As I was telling my friend at work in Radioland (the one who came up with the term 'manscaping'), I'd be happy being a good friend to him because he's soooooooooooooo shy that even if I started pursuing him now, we might have to wait until about 2023 to actually go out on a 'date.' lol

My pastor is likely oblivious to the whole thing. I think he knows I hang out with the family a little but that's about it. My pastor is, oddly enough, only about 3 years older than me. It's a weird situation because I live in a town about 30 miles away and travel there to church (I like going there THAT much...*S* not being a factor!) so I'm kind of 'out of the loop' about stuff sometimes. They are good to include me on some things though and *S* dad's gf calls me a lot to remind me of stuff or invite me to stuff. What's even more funny is that they come over here once a month for a special service at a church near my house so sometimes if I'm not stuck at the radio station, I meet them there! It's weird that they have ties to the town where I live. *S* aunt lives next door to one of my uncles! I've never met the woman though....just heard about her. She's been really sick with cancer for a long time. My uncle has gone over to visit her and her husband a few times.

Sorry...I'm rambling. Just so many thoughts have gone through my head since Friday. I feel like a dyslexic kid with A.D.D. whose been slipped some acid while looking through a kaliedescope! Now THAT's bad!!!

normally we have Wednesday Bible study but we don't this week....darn!!!

SJ doesn't normally go to it but.......

I gotta work during the day and then probably mow my yard....boorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrring!!! I'll try to party extra this weekend for the 4th since I'm south of the border.

I have a couple of coworkers at the radio station that like to 'mock' my Canadian ways so I'm sure it will be mentioned several times tomorrow. lol

Y'know what though...I had a LOT of fun with it a couple of years ago when it was on a Saturday. I worked my morning radio shift and played a bunch of songs by Canadians and mentioned it.

These are oldies so they may not be familiar to you but I played songs by:

BTO
Steppenwolf
The Guess Who
Gordon Lightfoot
Andy Kim
Bryan Adams


and some others that are escaping my mind at the moment. lol I think I threw in "Almost Paradise" by Mike Reno and Ann Wilson. Mike Reno is of course the lead singer of Loverboy (met him a few times...nice guy!).

It was such a fun morning playing all that good stuff! hehe
