IJWTS-That's a really nice story, dB. I was kind of mad for her and her brother that none of her mother's relatives seemed to care what happened to them. If anything, God forbid, were to happen to my brother and his ex-girlfriend, I would offer to take in my nephew. Makes me more grateful for the family I have. They are nutty, but would have taken us in had anything happened to my mom (and did temporarily a couple of times).

Thanks. My sister was giving me some advice earlier tonight when we were chatting. I guess I need to watch for her trying to chew on her stitches. She's so darn stubborn I can believe it! She's eaten now and running amuck in the house as if she's never been surgically altered. lol That girl's quite the fighter. I guess she was well-behaved for everyone at the vet's office. Just like a real kid....behaves for everyone else!

IJWTS: That we had all these warnings and watches and everything and it fizzled into a boring ol' rain. lol (not that I wanted tornadoes but I looooooooooooove me some thunder and lightning-as long as the lightning isn't that straight to the ground stuff that seeks out electronics and people)

You're right... but... I guess it's difficult to explain (especially in Spanish ) why I feel the way that I do. To me, it makes no sense to go to funerals just for the sake of showing one's face. If you only see family when the chips are down, you are undeserving. Likewise, if you go to church only on holidays... what are you truly benefitting?
