IJWTS I got called last night and told I was top two for the job I wanted, but they went with the other person.

Today, my grandpa was at the hospital for some testing, I got called by another place wanting to interview me. I told them I was 2 hours away with my grandpa and needed time to change, as I was in shorts, t-shirt, and flip flops, unshaven too, looking like Chewbacca on vacation... They told me "come as you are" and asked me to get there as soon as I could.

Interview went well. I really liked the people and the place. They called me about 2.5 hours after I interviewed to offer me the job! So, I am no longer unemployed!!!! Bonus: The job is right by the college I want to do some more schooling at and I only have to coach one sport.

IJWTS I'm glad you got the job situation worked out. I hope your grandpa is OK. Was it routine testing or should we be praying for him?

IJWTS it was routine. Just went in through the femoral artery and did a heart catheter. He was told a few years he had 40% blockage. He went to a new hot doctor Monday, and the doctor said he wanted to test, so my Grandpa scheduled it and wanted to get it over with. They were prepared to do a stint when the found the blockage....

Well, he was in surgery for about 15-20 minutes. The doctor called us in the waiting room and said he found no blockage at all and even had 2 other doctors come in and look as well to make sure he didn't miss anything.

So, he is already home and doing well. He is restricted to no lifting and taking it easy for a few days, but other than that, he is good to go.

IAJWTS I am glad the job thing worked out too... the best part is I will be co-teaching with my best friend for the science stuff, so I have someone I know to work with on all my lesson stuff.

IJWTS-I am looking for recommendations for good classics to read this summer. I thought about posting a thread in Singles, but decided to post a thread in the Book Club forum (that seems the appropriate place for it). Feel free to post in it and suggest books.

IAJWTS-I am determined to be online less this summer. I'm not sure how successful I'll be, but I'm going to try to read more (books instead of posts) and do other stuff instead. I spend waaaaay too much time online.
