  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

IJWTK-Where everyone gets great avatars from? I am feeling particularly picky and can't seem to find any avatars that I'm happy with. I've googled various images and tried avatar sites. I think maybe I just need to be less picky.

IJWTS I just was shocked with a phone call.... being Sunday, I was expecting to get a phone call from a school principal wanting to interview me this week. I hope it all goes well. She even told me she was going to talk to the principal at the alternative school in her same district (which is the job I really want) because he is a good friend of hers and see if he wants to interview me as well!

IJWTS that somehow I was able to attend an early-morning meeting at work, play bass for church this morning, and still find time to grab a pizza and a nap this afternoon. I have no idea how all of those things fit together, but there you go.

IJWTS, it is fast food and prices are fairly close to Taco Bell. I just like the food better and think it is a much higher quality. They use ground beef instead of the mush stuff that Bell uses. I also like their bean burritos much much better. It is a regional chain which is why a lot of people haven't heard of it.

I will say this, though, for the price, I can't beat the local family owned Mexican food place next door. On Wednesday nights, for $4.99, I can get 2 enchiladas (beef, chicken or cheese) rice, beans, chips, salsa, queso dip, and a fresh sopapilla for dessert. Can't beat that deal.
