CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I've made an awesome new friend, he's really helping to get my confidence up. We have a new thing where we try and gets girls numbers, clubs, malls, uni, anywhere. One of us picks someone and says 'go', and if the other person hesitates they have to do 15 push-ups on the spot 
. I can approach girls so much easier now. I've never actually called them back though... that'll be the next step lol.
Edit: Wow I think one of the girls is a Christian. On FB for work she put 'bartender, serving the lord'

I hope you don't get into the mindset that girls are just objects to get numbers from or something to conquer. From this post it seems like it's a game that you two are engaging in. I could never get in that mindset, I'm so far on the other end of the scale. I've always put girls on the pedestal as if they're anything but human. At worst it can only balance out the scale.

IJWTS - I have decided instead of just saying I want to lose weight, I have made a goal size. I would like to get to a dress size of 14. Its a good size, IMO. Different stores will say "14" but different sizes (like 12 and 16) would also be a good fit too.
I usually hide away from saying goals outloud because I feel like they wont come true but this time I feel like if other people know, I will be more obligated to get it done and show progress.

i think it's funny that the library is supposed to be a quiet place for study and meditation, and they even have signs that talk about silence and no cell phone use etc. yet this place is far from quiet. i was just listening to a podcast thru headphones and i literally could not hear what was playing due to people being loud around me.

IJWTS I totally got my bro earlier tonight. I was standing at the counter, cutting up some food when he came into the kitchen and suddenly exclaims 'You're a cutie!'.
Now I know he meant the cat who was lying right at my feet, but I instantly replied back with 'Oh...well, thank you!'. He abruptly replied with 'I didn't mean you!' and I could tell without even turning around that he realized what he said and mostly likely looked like :o, followed by
because a few seconds later he was out the door.
I simply laughed for, like, 2 minutes (which he heard, so he knew I wasn't hurt or anything).
'Twas very amusing!

IJWTS that I can't believe how slow the mail is. I only got two of the five CF Christmas cards sent to me before the 25th, and the last of them did not trickle in until today.

If only we lived in the same city or not the largest state in the contiguous US, or you didn't live in your specific city in Texas that close to NOWHERE ELSE IN THE STATE, seriously, you basically live in New Mexico.
