  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

LOL neither is GB or Houston or New England :p

Green Bay is in a much tougher division than Broncos. There's only one team with more than 5 wins in the AFC West, and the NFC North could potentially have three playoff teams. I'll give you the AFC East, outside of the Patriots, it's terrible, but it's always been, and the AFC South.

New England won't beat Denver in Denver. They only beat them by ten IN Foxboro before Peyton came back to full form.

IJWTS I can't decide on starting laundry and baking some biscuits, or climbing into bed and reading a book.... It is 10 at night...maybe that is too late to make biscuits. But it would be nice to have some for breakfast tomorrow before work...and I do need clean clothes.

It is code for, if you don't root for the Texans, you make angels lose their wings and kittens cry.

Oh it also makes you a commie if you don't root for the Texans.

Yeah yeah...... but I don't put much weight in that game.

We had already sealed the Playoffs, why go all out on a team you will face again in the playoffs in a couple weeks (lets face it you know the Pats wont be one and done.) Go out and play very vanilla football and give them no looks at your real plans to face them.

That isn;t to say they didn't stomp a mud hole in us.

But when you already have it in the bag..... late in the season, it doesn't scream "your best" against a team you will likely face when it matters and much like the Packers (Which I do believe was their all, the first game without Cushing) better to take a meaningless humiliating loss in the season, than to take it to end your post season.

Personally I doubt Kubiak is that smart, but I can hope that was the plan.

I mean look at the jets, they got mudhole stomped worse not long ago 6-42 or something in reg. season and yet they beat them in the playoffs.

I just worry about Houston against elite quarterbacks. They could have some hard times with Manning and Brady (again) unless some things change. To me, the common denominator in their two big losses was an elite opposing quarterback. And while Schaub is a solid starter and they have weapons like Johnson and Foster on their offense, that offense isn't really built to keep up in a shootout.

Sad thing is, they are SUPPOSED to be, that is why we have Kubiak an "Offensive Genius" is our O perfect? No, but I truly believe HE is the issue, the Texans CONSTANTLY get to the Redzone but most scores come off of big plays ( it sure seems to me that Redzone trips fail more often than not and only put up 3, if your team can get all the way up field but constantly stall in short field, that screams coach to me.

IJWTS: I really hate the Patriots.
You ain't alone there buddy.

Kubiak is not a great coach.

I know. All of my best friends and I have a little hate club. Our motto is "Patriots suck. Tom Brady is a woman. Belichick is a cheater."

Speaking of the Patriots, I saw this...

Why do you hate the Patriots? I listed my main reasons.

I guess I never really freaked out that much about the whole spygate thing, but they're just an arrogant bunch. I particularly don't like Tom Brady, who just seems like a major pretty boy to me. They run up the score on teams. I'm also not a fan of the 3rd-down shotgun punt that they had Brady do against Denver last year. I was okay with it then because I didn't like Tebow as a quarterback, but it was in bad taste. There are definitely teams I dislike more (Bears, Vikings, and Giants), but the Patriots are right there too.
