CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I think we need to pray for this place, in a lot of threads I don't see a lot of how we should be acting as brothers and sisters in Christ. I'll admit I don't always act this way, but we should strive for it. We need to be looking out for each other, discussing, and loving; this often becomes "I'm better", "You're not a Christian if you disagree", and not at all loving. Straight up I've sinned here and caused others to sin, and for that I sincerely apologize. But we gotta start praying for this place.

IAJWTS I just saw a news clip about a child play fighting Luke Skywalker at his Starwars birthday party. Darth Vader showed up, and when Darth Vader took off his helmet, it was his father whom he hadn't seen in 3 months. His dad took a 96 hr leave so he could surprise him for his birthday. So sweet!
