CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Who amongst you doesn't see life as permanent?
I received one of the best compliments from one of my IMI guys (Apprentice trainers) about my bricklaying skills. I apparently lay bricks [without a level] better than [some] Journeymen do. I saw all the little mistakes I needed to clean-up, so I thought they might tell me I needed to do some stuff, but I guess that'll just take a bit of time and it'll work itself out.

IJWTS that I grow increasingly weary of cherry picking when it comes to scripture. It's one thing to pick a combination of words because they sound nice, another to base an entire view on a few words without taking into account who the chapter was aimed at, the purpose of the paragraph, or even bothering to sit back and consider what was being said instead of just what they are reading into it.
Don't be lazy, support your views with more than incomplete sentences pulled from the Bible. Bring up context, point out related verses, discuss and explain. Share your thought process that led you up to your decision, don't just chuck scripture around.

Ijwts that there should be a better warning system for when there are men in the house, especially at night. Twice now I have been caught not wearing decent clothing for mixed company.

IJWTS my mind's been working like mad...I'm in one of my creative writing moods again...'tis maddening, really...'cause as I keep looking in my files and folders, I keep finding stories and things that I want to continue, but my brain keeps jumping around...so I do a snippet here, a few paragraphs there, etc..
