  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

She decided that my wedding date being a month after hers was offensive and kicked me out of the bridal party. She refuses to speak to me while all I've done is be supportive of her marriage.

Last time it was because the bride decided that since her ex and I were still on speaking terms. If I saw him out in public I was nice to him. That I wasn't supportive of her moving forward with her life.

It's not a simple matter of abandoning ship. These women wait until just before their weddings and set it out to sea burning.

Wow. Did they show signs of such behaviors before? How rude!
I'm sorry she behaved that way, how childish.

C- I'm offended your wedding day is two days after my birthday. ^_^

Okay that was a bad joke. :unbelievable:

On a slightly less serious note: September is a lovely time to get married. And Oct. and Nov. Best times, really!

Like I said, takes all kinds to make the world go 'round.

I think of life this way: people always want somebody to share their burdens with them, and it's always nice to give people help; but you should never expect people to outshine His Glory in this world. People will always fall short and that's all good.

Be better than those people, surround yourself with intelligent and reasonable people; the rest will only suffocate you with their tears, fears, and drama. Don't cast your pearls before swine.

A friend of the world is an enemy of God

The thing is, I've never been the best at reading people.
That's one way in which I'm thankful to have Austin, he's really been helpful in teaching me that they are behaving in a toxic way and I shouldn't be allowed to believe that their problems are my fault.
My dad agrees though, he said that I've had horrible taste in female friends.

Aww thanks.... ^_^

I'll also try to remember your birthday now. :)

Don't be so hard on yourself. As much as I feel like I can read people, I have lost a lot of girlfriends throughout the years. Well two specifically, and when I got them out of my life I realized and learned A LOT about myself. Things I didn't realized I had or knew about myself because all they did was put me down. And then I met people I connected with and they are wonderful women. I think in many ways I understand them more now because all of us come from the same place and we all see the world in the same way...if that makes sense.

How does one know when they have received the holy spirit?
believers in the bible knew the instant they received it
Yes they all seemed to know whether or not they had received.
The big one is how do other people know that someone has received. I usually go with why does anyone need to know.
